All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) organized Two days’ workshop on Saansad
Aadarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) on 25th & 26th November, 2017 at Nagarjuna College of
Engineering & Technology, Devanahalli Taluq, Bangalore. SAGY is a rural development
programme broadly focusing upon the development in the villages which includes social
development, cultural development and spread motivation among the people on social
mobilization of the village community. Dr. Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE, was the Chief
Guest for the workshop. The programme was presided over by Shri. Chaitanya Varma,
Secretary, Nagarjuna Educational Society, Smt. Bhanu Chaitanya, Director, Nagarjuna
Educational Society and G. Rashmi, Joint Director, Directorate of Technical Education,
Bangalore. The workshop was inaugurated with lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest and
other dignitaries present and was preceded by talk of Ms. P. Bineesha, who spoke on the Waste
Management part of SAGY. The workshop concluded by an interactive question and answer
session between the participants and the SAGY team, where the delegates could clarify their
doubts regarding the same.
